A  couple is charged with rent fraud

A couple from Monroeville is charged with trying to defraud the Pandemic Rent Assistance Program.

Police say applications by Devon Lane and Victoria Bennett were flagged by Action Housing.

Police investigated and say they found Lane applied for more than $645,000 in rent relief and received more than $222,000.
