HOMESTEAD, Pa. —
A man who was wanted following a high-speed chase in Penn Hills has been arrested more than two weeks later in Homestead.
Mark Clements, 19, was taken into custody after police responded to an accident involving a vehicle he was in in Homestead.
Police said Clements lied twice about his identity, including claiming to be a 12-year-old boy, before admitting who he was.A gun was also found in the car.
Earlier this month, Clements allegedly led police on a high-speed chase in Penn Hills that ended with a crash and then went missing after he was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital.
The chase began because the vehicle Clements was in was allegedly linked to the shooting of an 11-year-old child in the city of Pittsburgh.
No one has been charged in connection with the shooting of that child.
Clements is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
