PITTSBURGH —
A Pittsburgh police officer suffered a minor injury when a suspect trying to take off struck the officer’s vehicle.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday on the 6900 block of Churchland Street in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood.
Police were responding to a report of suspicious people looking inside vehicles.When police arrived, one suspect tried to take off in a vehicle and ended up hitting the officer’s vehicle in the process.
One person was detained by police.
The investigation is ongoing.
