Bloomfield music venue Howlers closing its doors, moving to East Liberty – Pittsburgh Business Times

Howlers, a Bloomfield staple, confirmed Tuesday that it would be leaving the neighborhood later this year.

In a post on its Facebook page, the music venue said that it would be closing its location in Bloomfield and opening a new one in East Liberty. The venue and bar has been a part of the neighborhood for almost two decades; hosting live music of various genres from Wednesday through Sunday.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Tuesday morning that the venue was closing, but the Pittsburgh City Paper added comments from owner Susan Coe, who said she planned to open the new location in East Liberty by Sept. 1.
