Police: man tries to burglarize Fayette County home, gets shot

Pennsylvania State Police said a man was sent to the hospital after trying to burglarize a home Friday night.

Investigators were called to the scene at a home around 8:00 p.m. on National Pike in Fayette County.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 has learned only one man was inside the home when this happened.

Police said the would-be burglar ran away after being shot, but was later found outside.

He was flown to a Pittsburgh Hospital, but it’s unclear how he’s doing.

Troopers said that all people involved were accounted for and that there’s no threat to the public.
