What we know about the Saddleridge Fire
- Spreading fast: The Saddleridge Fire started Thursday and exploded to more than 7,500 acres by Friday. At least 31 structures were destroyed or damaged.
- It jumped two freeways: The fast-moving blaze jumped the 210 and 5 freeways, and some parts those roads and the 405 were closed.
- Evacuations issued: The wind-driven wildfire forced about 100,000 people to evacuate.
- Schools canceled: Classes were canceled at about 40 schools in the Los Angeles area after poor air quality was reported, officials said.
