Cartoonist Rob Rogers Attempting To Bring Back ‘Brewed On Grant’ | Newsradio 1020 KDKA

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – Editorial Cartoonist Rob Rogers is in the process of bringing back his weekly publication, “Brewed on Grant.”

According to Rogers, “Brewed on Grant feels like home to me. It gives me the freedom to bounce between important local issues one week and less important quirky stories that make me laugh the next. It allows me to keep a critical eye on local politicians while also enjoying the collective practice of laughing at ourselves as a city. I love that in any given week, anybody or anything can wander into the diner. I have a lot of fun drawing it. I am very grateful to the Pittsburgh Current for giving me this opportunity to breathe new life into it.”

For more information or questions, please contact Pittsburgh Current Associate Publisher Bethany Ruhe at bethany@pittsburghcurrent.com

The former Post-Gazette cartoonist is working with the Pittsburgh Current, and they have decided to launch a Kickstarter campaign in order get the project off the ground.

“They are fledgling publication, so they didn’t really have money to pay me to do this,” Rogers explains.

“The idea is, if people want to see it continue, they need to help support the Kickstarter campaign.”
