500 pounds of scrap copper stolen from Derry business

State police are investigating the theft of copper from a business in Derry over the weekend, state police said.

The theft happened between 8 a.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at Kowatch Electric in the 4700 block of Route 982, state police said in a release issued late Monday night.

About 500 pounds of scrap copper wiring was taken. An estimate of its value was not provided.
