Greensburg police trying to identify truck that caused $12K damage in hit and run | TribLIVE

Greensburg police are looking for help identifying a truck that pulled down a decorative light pole Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Chad Zucco said the truck had a long flatbed trailer and appeared to be hauling gas drilling equipment through the city at 8:44 a.m. Something on the truck hit a pole on South Main Street in front of First Commonwealth Bank and the driver did not stop, he said.

The pole is valued at about $12,000, Zucco said.

Police don’t know the name of the company or business that owns the truck. A surveillance image shows that it has a red cab with dark lettering on the passenger side door.

Anyone who recognizes the truck is asked to call police at 724-834-3800.
