Greensburg family charged with concealing runaway girl for 12 days

John T. Dreveniak, 28; his father, Thomas M., 63; and mother, Esther N., 59, were charged by Greensburg Det. Sgt. John Swank with felony counts of concealment of the whereabouts of a child and interference with the custody of children for allegedly hiding the girl inside their apartment in the 300 block of Harrison Avenue from Oct. 4 until Oct. 16.

Video shows bus plunging off bridge into river after passenger, driver fight

BEIJING — Police say a brawl between a passenger and a bus driver led to the bus plunging off a bridge in southwestern China Sunday, killing 13 people on board and leaving two missing. The local government in Chongqing released a brief video Friday showing it all unfold.

1MDB: Ex-Goldman bankers and Jho Low face US charges

The charges are linked to one of the world’s biggest financial scandals – Malaysia’s 1MDB fund.

Two former Goldman Sachs bankers and Malaysian financier Jho Low have been hit with US criminal charges in connection with one of the world’s biggest financial scandals.

The Department of Justice alleges the men participated in a scheme that stole billions of dollars from Malaysia’s development fund, 1MDB.

One former Goldman banker pleaded guilty, the department said.

The other banker has been arrested, while Mr Low remains at large.

Two seriously wounded in stabbing while firing employee at Mount Washington bar

 

Two men were seriously wounded in a stabbing at a Mount Washington tavern as they were firing a worker late Wednesday night.

The incident took place shortly before 11:30 p.m. at the Bigham Tavern on Bigham Street when an employee — identified as 40-year-old Jaymar Gilbert of Garfield — was in the process of being terminated from his job at the tavern and got into a “physical altercation” with the two supervisors he was talking to, Pittsburgh police said.
