The Big Mac has been a McDonald’s staple for 50 years now, and to celebrate the iconic sandwich’s golden anniversary, the chain wants to share one with the world. Starting August 2, customers will receive a cool limited-edition collectible metal coin with the purchase of every Big Mac while supplies last.
The festival, now in its 13 th year, celebrates a UFO crash that is said to have taken place in a wooded area near Kecksburg on Dec. 9, 1965.

The Times-Picayune described a bleak scene in the aftermath of the attack. “Sounds of shouts and crying were heard throughout the chaotic scene late Saturday and into Sunday,” the paper said.
The city’s mayor, LaToya Cantrell, condemned the violence in a statement and vowed to “dedicate every resource necessary to ending this horror and seeing justice done.”
“I speak for everyone in our City when I say we are disgusted, we are infuriated, & we have had more than enough,” she wrote on Twitter. “Three more lives — gone. It has to end. It’s unacceptable anywhere.”
An 82-year-old Delmont woman died after being struck by a pickup truckFriday afternoon outside the Walmart on Hollywood Boulevard in Delmont.
Allegheny County officials confirmed that Gail Rohrbacher, 82, of Delmont died after a truck driven by Wendy Lee Shumaker, 49, of Philadelphia, Miss., hit her outside the store shortly before 2 p.m. on Friday.
Shumaker has been charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence by Murrysville police.
