Two people were transported to Memorial Medical Center on Sunday, following a three-vehicle crash on Broad Street.

Johnstown Fire Department Assistant Chief Bob Statler said the crash occurred after a Volkswagen sedan rear-ended a Jeep that was at Broad Street’s Fourth Avenue intersection preparing to turn.

Both injured passengers were traveling in the Jeep, Statler said. Another sedan was also struck but sustained minor damage.

The Volkswagen’s driver was taken into custody
