Violence Makes Many Harrisburg Teachers Resign – Pittsburgh Post Gazette

The teachers of Harrisburg are under attack.

The Harrisburg teachers’ union said months of complaints about violence in the classroom and a lack of response from district administration finally led to the resignation of at least 45 teachers already this school year.

Teachers at a school board meeting Monday told tales of being hit, kicked or bitten by students in the classroom.
