Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect; trees down in many parts of Western Pennsylvania

In Pittsburgh, a tree fell and blocked traffic on Pioneer Avenue in Brookline. Another tree was knocked over at the corner of South Negley and Ellsworth avenues in Shadyside.

In Monroeville, police said trees were down on Northern Pike, Westminster Drive, and Duff, Cooper, Haymaker and Ramsey roads.

In Washington County, a large tree fell on Allison Hollow Road, just off Racetrack Road. The NWS was getting reports of trees down across the county.
