Wear Penguins gear, get free food at these Pittsburgh restaurants | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Penguins fans will be eligible for free food from several restaurants throughout the region Monday.

In case Penguins fans needed another reason to wear their black and gold gear ahead of Monday’s Stanley Cup game, some western Pennsylvania staples are offering free, edible incentives.

Anyone wearing Penguins merchandise will receive free french fries at Primanti Bros. up until game time at 8 p.m. Other menu items, including wings and pizza, will be discounted, though the specific deals have not been announced.

Joining the championship frenzy is Eat’n Park, which is offering a free Smiley Cookie to any customer wearing Penguins gear. Though Eat’n Park’s offer is limited to locations in the Pittsburgh area, out-of-town fans will be eligible for free shipping on online orders of black and gold cookies over $25. The cookie deal will run all day Monday.

The Penguins will face off against the Nashville Predators in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup, and let us know if you hear about any other Stanley Cup-related promotions.
