It’s the first for the Unity Township airport, which for the past three years has offered a growing amount of service to several cities via Spirit Airlines(Nasdaq: SAVE). The 126-passenger Boeing 737-700 from Arnold Palmer Regional Airport to Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport will fly May 5 in a deal between the airport and MGM Resorts International and Sun Country Airlines for a three-night trip to Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, which is owned by MGM International.
“We are thrilled to welcome this flight and proud to be partnering with Beau Rivage in this endeavor. We fully anticipate that travelers from our region will embrace this new and exciting travel opportunity,” said Westmoreland County Airport Authority Executive Director Gabe Monzo. Westmoreland County Airport Authority owns and operates Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.
